AIDES - T2D
AIDES-T2D (AI-Driven Emotional Support for Type 2 Diabetes) is a research initiative creating a digitial platform that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to deliver personalised emotional support for adults living with type 2 diabetes. The goal is to reduce diabetes distress by helping individuals navigate the emotional challenges of diagnosis, treatment, and daily self-management, ultimately improving overall well-being.
Why This Study Matters
AIDES - T2D
Many adults with type 2 diabetes experience emotional challenges, such as frustration, burnout, and feeling overwhelmed. Yet these concerns are often overlooked in routine care, even though emotional distress can affect self-care, blood glucose control, and overall quality of life.
The AIDES-T2D study aims to bridge this gap by creating an AI-powered website that offers personalised emotional support. The platform helps individuals reflect on their emotional needs and provides timely, supportive information tailored to what they are going through.
Building the Future of Psychosocial Diabetes Care. This study lays the foundation for new ways to understand and support the emotional experiences of adults living with type 2 diabetes.
